Monday 2 September 2013 –

Woke this morning to a bit of a change in the weather.  We’ve been a bit spoilt, but this morning cloud was brewing and it was pretty breezy.  Undaunted, I did the washing and despite a couple of very brief spots of rain, it dried by early afternoon, when I actually did the ironing – first time since leaving home!

After I pegged out my load we went to the shopping centre and Grant had a blood test, then we went and got some bread and milk and some yummy chocolate covered licorice before coming back to camp.  By now the wind was really gusty and it was quite cloudy, though not cold – still shorts and short sleeved top weather, so we didn’t go for a walk – the wind wouldn’t have been much fun.

I spent the afternoon making three sock dolls (I know that will excite you no end, Alan) – I’ve only got to give them faces after I’ve finished this, reading and basically doing not much at all.

Grant got a call to say that his blood number was good so no change in his warfarin dosage, and now, after tea, he is reading his latest Wilbur Smith book between fairly long bouts of dozing off and snoring.

Not sure what tomorrow will bring – the forecast is similar to today for the next three days.  Linda and Adrian start heading for home tomorrow, so their holiday is pretty well over.

And so is today.
